Arts, Athletics & Faith
Developing the whole person through excellence in the arts, athletics, and spiritual formation.
Arts Programs
Visual Arts
Students study drawing, painting, and calligraphy — learning to see carefully before learning to create. Art history is woven into the humanities sequence, so students encounter Raphael, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt not as trivia but as conversation partners.
Music & Performance
The school choir performs at the annual Winter Concert and Spring Concert, as well as at liturgical events throughout the year. Students also participate in theatrical productions, developing confidence, presence, and the ability to inhabit a story.
Athletics
Chesterton Academy is currently pursuing full membership with the WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association). We are building our athletic program around the same virtues that define our academic culture: teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and excellence.
The following sports are planned, subject to student interest and coach availability:
Basketball (Boys & Girls)
Cross-Country (Boys & Girls)
Soccer (Boys & Girls)
Tennis (Boys & Girls)
Volleyball (Girls)
Coaches needed. If you are interested in coaching, please contact our front office at (425) 791-2718 or officemanager@chestertonstmichael.org.
Life Rooted in Faith
Liturgical Traditions
The school year is anchored by the liturgical calendar. Michaelmas — the feast of St. Michael the Archangel on September 29 — is celebrated as the school's patronal feast with an outdoor picnic open to students, families, and friends, with food, lawn games, and community gathered together. Advent, Lent, and the other seasons of the Church shape the school's rhythm throughout the year.
Retreats & Formation
Annual retreats give students space to step back from the demands of academic life and attend to their spiritual growth. Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, and other sacramental opportunities are woven into the school calendar — not as exceptions, but as expected features of life at CASM.
In Action
From the stage to the easel, from the fundraising gala to the Michaelmas picnic — these are real moments from the life of the school.
